Eumir Marcial and Joven Jimenez have collaborated with Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) President Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino to stage a boxing event dubbed Survivor Series Dos, which will be held in Tagaytay City. The city is gradually taking center stage as an emerging sports hub with world-class facilities.
Marcial, who gained global boxing recognition after winning the bronze medal in the middleweight division at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics, teamed up with Jimenez to organize this major event scheduled for July 25, 2026, a Saturday. Jimenez manages the famous Survival Camp in Cavite and is known as the head trainer of former world champion Jerwin Ancajas. He also frequently serves as head trainer or chief cornerman for high-profile Filipino professional boxers.
The connection between Marcial and Jimenez is rooted in a deep, multi-layered professional and personal brotherhood within the Philippine boxing community. Marcial heads EM Promotions, while Jimenez is the top honcho of Joven Sports. Meanwhile, Tolentino, a well-known sportsman, aspires to establish Tagaytay City as a "combat sports capital."
The event will feature a double championship main event. Jesus “Maginoo” Magdayo will face Zillio Duyogan (5 wins, 4 losses) for the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) Silver Bantamweight Championship, while Joey “Warayan Punch” Tible will take on Romark Antaran (4 wins, 6 losses) for the vacant Philippine Luzon Professional Boxing Association (LPBA) Super Flyweight Championship. Both Magdayo and Tible carry unblemished records with no losses.
An array of exciting undercard bouts is also included in the fight card. The venue is the former Tagaytay City multi-purpose arena, which has been fully rehabilitated into a combat sports center for martial arts disciplines such as taekwondo, karate, jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, vovinam, boxing, arnis, wrestling, and muay Thai, among others.
It's
one city, one night, and one champion. Above all, admission is free.
