November 14, 2008
Statement of Support to the Objectives of SAVE OMECO Movement
By Divine Word College of San Jose Employees Association (DWCSJEA)

JUSTICE IS GIVING TO OTHERS WHAT IS DUE TO THEM. Everyone knows that there is injustice when something belonging to one is appropriated by another. Everything unjust implies that what belongs to one is withheld or taken away from him by another man.

What happening now to OMECO is a clear manifestation of a committed INJUSTICE. Because of selfishness of few individuals in the “cooperative”, (if they wanted to call it a cooperative), the coop is now suffering from its great losses and will suffer if we will allow this people to continue doing irregularities in its posts.

We call the attention of the OMECO Board of Directors, to do the necessary actions to at least rehabilitate the deteriorating condition of the coop. We call them to make moves according to what is right and according to what its members would like to happen. Being in the position as BOD, they are highly responsible in OMECO’s operation, hence responsible also to restore OMECO and for the necessary restitution.

We therefore express our support to Save OMECO Movement believing its noble attempt to save OMECO. With all the teaching and non-teaching personnel of the Divine Word College of San Jose, we are one with all the people of Occidental Mindoro who want reforms in the present set up of Occidental Mindoro Electric Cooperative.

On behalf of DWCSJ Employees,

(Signed)
Jason S. Valera
President
Divine Word College of San Jose Employees Assn.
